Mr Gladstone Tyoka is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with twenty (20) years’ work experience in Banking/Finance; Auditing; Accounting; Tax; Governance, Risk & Compliance and Leadership development. He also holds a Master of Commerce in Accounting degree with the Midlands State University and a Bachelor of Accountancy Honours degree with the University of Zimbabwe.
Gladstone commenced his career in August 2003 with Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe Limited, Vehicle and Asset Finance Division before joining Ernst & Young (EY) Chartered Accountants in March 2008 where he completed his Articles of Clerkship in the Risk Advisory service line specialising in outsourced Internal Audit, Assurance, Risk Management Advisory and Forensic Investigations.
In July 2013, he joined a US Funded NGO, UZ Clinical Trials Research Centre working in collaboration with the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and served for 10 years to become a subject matter expert in financial accounting with robust skills in strategic management and report writing for grant competitive renewal applications. He introduced smart risk based process improvements as the Audit and Compliance Manager before his appointment as Finance Manager, to lead all finance operations as a role model for all global health research programs at UCSF. He established a career development framework that includes structured problem solving and critical thinking skills, business process improvement, managing change and generating sustainable improvements. On 1 August 2023, Gladstone was appointed the Chief Finance Officer at MetBank Limited, reflecting the aspiration of a great team player, and an etiquette leader with integrity.
